Presented by Mona Rekhi, director of the Accessibility Compliance Office at College Board

This session is intended to raise awareness about digital accessibility, help you understand legal requirements under U.S. law (including the Department of Justice’s updated guidance under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act), mitigate risks and apply best practices for creating accessible content in higher education. The session will cover:

  • What is web accessibility?
  • What are the risks for the organization regarding accessibility?
  • Who are we serving with digital accessibility?
  • Accessibility standards and guidelines.
  • What processes ensure course materials and other products meet accessibility standards?

Participating in the session may fulfill part of the requirements for the Graduate Teaching Certificate and Postdoctoral Teaching Certificate programs.
