The UT Dallas Center for Teaching and Learning invites you to the
Virtual Exchange/COIL Faculty Showcase
Thursday, April 17
9 to 10 a.m.
CTL Workspace (MC 2.404)
Virtual Exchange (VE)/Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) connects students with peers in another country to collaborate on assignments as part of an international team. Join us for a showcase featuring faculty from the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences (EPPS) and the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology (BAHT) as they present recent VE/COIL projects and share global classroom experiences.
Dr. Kimberly Hill, associate professor of U.S. and African American history in BAHT, will discuss her collaboration between UT Dallas history students and journalism students at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. Dr. Zhen Yi Wu, a visiting assistant professor in EPPS, will highlight her VE/COIL linking UT Dallas undergraduates with graduate students at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology for the creation of digital posters on society, culture and state systems.
