Provost Inga Musselman recently announced a new policy effective Spring 2024 that provides guidance for instructors when campus is closed due to inclement weather, but UT Dallas remains open for normal business operations and instructional activities.
In most cases, classes will not be canceled due to bad weather. Faculty teaching in-person are expected to switch to an alternative method to maintain academic progress during these events. Options include, but are not limited to:
University employees and students should always exercise judgment regarding their ability to travel safely to campus when inclement weather is in the area. They are not expected to place travel for work or class attendance above considerations for individual health and safety.
