Microsoft Copilot Now Available to Faculty and Staff

Faculty and staff at UT Dallas now have access to an enterprise version of Microsoft Copilot, which provides a secure and efficient way to use generative AI on campus. Users can log in at copilot.microsoft.com using their NetID and password.

This tool has been engineered to deliver tailored responses based on current web data, and each response is backed by sourced citations. The green “protected” icon in the top righthand corner indicates that all personal and company data are protected.

The Center for Teaching and Learning is hosting a series of instructional workshops on Generative AI. You can find recordings and resources in the CTL eLearning Resource site.

The Office of Information Technology has also prepared a series of instructional videos, now available on YouTube. These guides are crafted to demystify the technology behind Copilot and showcase practical ways to engage with this AI chat solution effectively.

For more information about using the new AI services or help with signing up, refer to Service – Microsoft CoPilot (utdallas.edu).
